We are so thrilled to announce the “Giving Hope”’Scholarship that has been made possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of the NL Beard and Moustache Club.

Applications for the Giving Hope Scholarship to attend Spirit Horse Mental Health Program will be Available January 31.

Giving Hope Scholarship Application Guidelines

Thanks to the generosity of the NL Beard and Moustache Club’s fundraising efforts through the 2018 Merb’y Calendar we are pleased to fund a scholarship to benefit participants in the Spirit Horse Mental Health Program.

We recognize this great contribution that the NLBMC has made to our alternative program and we wish to offer scholarships to youth and adults who wish to take our program. The scholarship, valued up to $500 each will be allotted for a successful application.

Selection will be made by the Scholarship Committee based on the therapeutic value to the applicant and financial need. All applications will be kept confidential.

Application Deadlines are:

Feb 15, 2018 Winter 2018

April 15, 2018 Spring/ Summer

August 15, 2018 Fall

Who is eligible to apply?

The scholarship is open to any person who self identifies as having mental health issues.

Youth are able to apply, but a parent/ guardian must sign on their behalf.

How often may I apply for funding?

Applicants may apply for funding once in a calendar year, but preference may be given to individuals who have not already received funding or completed the program.

When will I know if I have been selected?

The scholarship committee will review applications and a decision will be made within two weeks following the deadline. All applicants will be notified in writing of the decision within two weeks of the committee meeting.

What happens if I am selected for funding?

Selected applicants will be contacted by a representative from Spirit Horse NL- Stable Life Inc to confirm start dates and scheduling.
